Hit the right notes

This is how the Amin7 chord is displayed along A minor scale. The scale notes are  A, B, C, D, E, F and G. The Amin7 notes are A, C, E and G.

The “A” note is colored in red since it’s the root note.

The notes C, E and G are in gray since they are the chord notes.

The rest of the notes, which are B, D and F are made transparent since they are not part of the chord but part of the scale.

On the backing track page, scroll down and select one of the four options under “Select Live Notes Mode”. The options are:

  • Guitar scales: this will display the chord progression along any scale you select on the guitar fretboard.
  • Guitar chords: this will display the chords and their position on the fretboard.
  • Piano scalesthis will display the chord progression along any scale you select on the piano.
  • Piano scalesthis will display the chords notes on the piano.

Yes. The backing tracks are copyright-free. You can use them on your social media and post your own performances. However, you need to acknowledge Backtrackit by writing “Backing track from Backtrackit App” and tag Backtrackit.

Under the “Library” tab, click on the “Keys” item. Select any key from the list (Cmaj for example). Then click on the top red bar that says “Get backing tracks in Cmaj”.
